I have a phobia for failure, but not in a good way. I suppose the fear of failure should prompt one to give their absolute best to a task or project, so as to better their chances of success. For me however, it makes me avoid situations or projects where I could fail. During the just completed Zuri training, I always felt that HNG internship is the next step for me but having recently realized the percentage of finalists in previous cohorts, I was discouraged for a while. But here I am, writing this article as part of requirements to take me to the next stage. Getting here took a lot of courage, and I'm very much determined, not to defeat my phobia but to explore the other side of its solution.
The goal is to become a finalist and receive the highly coveted HNG polo, however the most important factor for me is progress. I intend to further sharpen my frontend development skills, by working on real world projects, also better my teamwork abilities and become more employable. Simply put, at the end of the internship, I want to be a better developer and teammate.
Are you a web developer like me looking to up skill, HNG internship is the place to be. Talking about Phobias, another one I do have is buying things online. Apart from the fear or being scammed outrightly, I also have this worry of buying the wrong stuff or receiving something different from what I paid for. I've been looking up cars lately and found this awesome platform, cars.ng for buying and selling brand new, tokunbo and Nigerian used cars. Not only do they list cars, they also provide in depth analysis on them and help you make a better choice.
